What sets our ground wheat straw apart is the fineness of the grinding process. The straw is so finely ground that it contains hardly any sharp bits or prickles. This results in a very soft and extremely absorbent product, making it ideal for use in dairy farming.

Another major benefit of wheat straw (and also of oilseed rape straw) is the improvement in dung quality. Unlike sawdust, wheat straw increases the C/N ratio in the dung, which encourages the accumulation of organic matter in the soil. Ground wheat straw is known to come closest to providing the ideal situation: a soft landing, good grip and a comfortable bed.

In a nutshell, ground wheat straw is the ideal cubicle material for your dairy herd. Soft and non-prickly, it reduces the risk of mastitis and swollen hocks.
